The following collections are located in the reading room of the Lincoln Library:
The collection of reference books satisfies the need for information of the Language School and Domínico Americano University.
Young People’s Reference Collection.
This includes works adapted to the needs of information of five through twelve graders of Domínico Americano School and Dominican reference books.
This includes collections of printed documents, mainly in the areas of: Computer Science, Social Sciences, Education, Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, Literature, and American and Dominican history, etc…
General Collection for Young People.
This includes materials in Social Sciences, Science, Literature, History and Geography.
Reading books meant for children and adolescents: Easy Collection (E); Juvenile Collection (J); Young adults (YA); and Fiction (F) reading books for young people and adults.
Collections of Biographies.
Juvenile Biography (JB); and Biography (B) contains bibliographies meant for young people and adults respectively.
Foreign Languages Collection.
It includes textbooks for the teaching of English, French, and Spanish as foreign languages (FL/E, FL/S, FL/F).
Collection of Audiovisuals and Maps.
This collection includes videos, cassettes, DVD’s and CD-ROM’s. It also includes printed maps essentially for educational purposes.
This includes newspaper clippings, brochures and pamphlets with present-day topics, mostly national.
This collection includes magazines meant for children, adolescents, teachers and the public in general, specialized in scientific, technical, recreational and political current events, both national and international. The Lincoln Library also receives local and international newspapers.
