The Language School (“EDI” by its initials in Spanish) is the division of the bi-national center Instituto Cultural Domínico-Americano dedicated to the teaching of the languages and cultures of the  Dominican Republic  and the United States of America.

Junior Program

Our teen program known as “Juniors” is aimed at developing the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through a communicative approach.

The Junior program is designed for teenagers aged 13 to 16. The program takes into account the students’ cognitive development stage, learning styles and tempos.

The language school offers placement exams for those who have some communicative skills.

ENRICHMENT COURSES:
These courses are designed to develop oral skills through group discussions and/or individual presentations on topics related to family, neighbors, community, global issues, traditions and culture. It also takes into consideration teenagers’ needs and wants. Under the teacher’s guidance, students acquire advanced vocabulary, hands-on and extra-curricular activities throughout two cycles.
