We are the university of the Instituto Cultural Domínico-Americano (ICDA), established as an Institution of Higher Learning by means of Executive Decree Number 389-01 issued on March 20th, 2001.

Vision, Mission and Objectives


To be a model of excellence that fosters integral human growth through a transformative education in the Dominican Republic.


To offer courses, in both English and Spanish, and cultivate a quality education through the teaching of the disciplines required to respond effectively and efficiently to the educational demands of the country, in order to form competent citizens who can contribute to the development of every area of society. 


To offer associate, bachelor, graduate and continuing education programs which integrate scientific principles and professional skills with proficiency in English as a universal second language.

To contribute to the development of professionals, teachers, researchers, technicians and the general public in order to train them to face the challenges of a society that is geared towards constant evolution by offering continuing education and extracurricular programs.

To promote and undertake methodological, scientific, technological, and cultural research in the fields offered at UNICDA and in the areas of interest for the community.
To contribute to the diffusion of knowledge and human, scientific and cultural values through the development of outreach programs, publications, and the rendering of professional services and cultural activities.
To develop, promote and offer community services for the purpose of applying the knowledge, technologies and methodologies that are used to contribute to the solution of community and social problems.
