EducationUSA is a network of the U.S. Department of State, with more than 430 advising centers for international students. In the Dominican Republic, the host institution is the Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano (ICDA).

The network promotes the U.S. educational system, culture, and values through the following services:

  • Accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date information about opportunities to study at accredited higher education institutions in the United States.
  • Individual and group educational advising for students, parents, and guardians interested in studying in the United States.
  • Support for U.S. universities, facilitating the organization of education fairs and presentations in schools and universities, among other academic activities.
  • Talks and conferences on different aspects of the U.S. higher education system, held in schools, universities, and community organizations in the Dominican Republic.
  • Online resources to learn English, writing workshops, reading clubs, among other resources.
