One of the most notable moments was the opening panel, titled “Trade Relations between the United States of America and the Dominican Republic with Impact on Multiculturalism and the Economy of Both Countries,” led by Mr. Enrique Fernández, a member of the board of directors of the Dominican-American Cultural Institute.
The event also featured high-level experts and officials, such as Gabriel Mascaro, Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Relations (MIREX); Silvestre Enmanuel Lora, Head of Relations with Haiti at MIREX; Juan Lorenzo Castillo, Head of the Green Customs Department at the General Customs Directorate (DGA); Manuel De Jesús Crisanty, Technical Director of Port Authority; Giselle Rodríguez Escofe, Director of Planning and Development at JABIL; Mirla Solano, Customer Service Manager at DP World; and Antonio Ciriaco Cruz, Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at UASD, who enriched the session with their interventions on the challenges and opportunities facing the logistics and customs sectors today.
The congress also addressed how multiculturalism influences trade relations and how the economies of the Dominican Republic and the United States are intertwined in a global context that demands adaptability, innovation, and strategic cooperation.
This event established itself as a key platform for strengthening international cooperation ties and exploring the latest trends in international business, fostering a space for exchanging ideas and creating strategic alliances between academic, governmental, and business institutions.
We thank all attendees, participants, and speakers for making this event a resounding success, reaffirming the commitment of UNICDA and ADOPNIA in training professionals prepared to face the challenges of global trade in a multicultural world.

The play “A Doll’s House” excites the community at the Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano
On October 31st, the community of the Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano gathered to enjoy a masterful presentation of “A Doll’s House,” the famous play by playwright Henrik Ibsen. With a contemporary and profound approach, the play tells the story of Nora, a woman trapped in a life built on the expectations of others, who fights to free herself from the impositions of a society that expects her to conform to a role that does not define her.
The staging, led by a talented and committed cast, successfully conveyed the intensity of Nora’s internal dilemmas and the harshness of her decision to break away from the established structures in her marriage. The attendees witnessed a powerful and moving interpretation that allowed the audience to connect with the universal themes of freedom, equality, and the yearning for an authentic life.
We are deeply grateful to the Dirección General de Bellas Artes and the Teatro Rodante Dominicano for making this performance possible, which left a profound mark on our community.
